NATIVE FLORA OF NYBG

Date & Time: Friday, May 13, 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM

Location: Meet at the reflecting pool in the Leon Levy Visitor Center, New York Botanical Garden

Guides: Native Plant Garden with Curator Jody Payne, Forest with Manager Jessica Arcate Schuler, Deanna Curtis, Curator of Woody Plants and Kristin Schleiter, Curator of Herbaceous Collections

 

Event Description: Be one of the first to have a sneak peak at the not-yet-open Native Plant Garden, 3.5 acres of a modern, four season garden.  Then walk through the 50 acre old-growth Forest, which has been protected since the founding of NYBG in 1895.  Lastly, stroll through the new Azalea Garden to see a variety of these shrubs in bloom. This event is free with the price of admission (entrance fee must be paid)
